The Episcopal Ecological Network (EpEN)

The 73^rd General Convention of the Episcopal Church, USA met in Denver, CO, AZ in July 2000. The EpEN was present with a booth.

Resolutions of Interest:

The following environmental/ecological resolutions were passed or discussed at the 73^rd General Convention:

• Resolution A002 to Adopt Ethical Guidelines for International Economic Development
• Resolution A048 to Encourage Consideration of the Environment When Choosing Electric Energy Supplier
• Resolution A058 to Encourage Congregations to Adopt a "A Pledge of Nonviolence"
• Resolution D005 to Oppose Environmental Racism

The EpEN is a national network of active lay and clergy persons within the Episcopal Church, USA, who share a common concern for the environment and a common belief in the presence of God in all Creation and who work to make these concerns and beliefs known throughout all Provinces and Dioceses within the church. Members come from around the Episcopal Church USA. The activities of the EpEN are focused on the areas of Reflection, Education, and Action.
